The Phoenix Arises
No idea why I’ve decided to blog after an extended break but perhaps it’s because there’s things to blog about.
For a start, not only has The Orange dragged itself out of the flames of something flaming hot, but the Phoenix are looking pretty flaming hot too. Mind you, anything that wasn’t an block of ice would look hot in comparison to the Knights and Kingz.
The win against the Victory (do they have an alternative name – like alternative home and away strips – for when they lose??) in Melbourne has to give us some home.
Again, by comparison with the past, anything above stone cold motherless last would be an achievement.
Then of course there’s the Warriors and their Phoenix-like rise from what appeared to be a mid-season death spiral.
And even if the Warriors aren’t winning, there’s always the referees to blog about.
One thing confuses me. When Kiwis complain about the officiating in the NRL, we’re just a bunch of whingers.
Therefore by definition, Australians must be fair-minded, reasonable and right.
So what does that mean when Ivan Clearly and Steve Price complain about the officiating?? Does that make them Kiwi whingers?
And with the RWC just a few weeks away, perhaps it’s a good time to get back into the blog again.
The Phoenix soars …
